Clear, hazy skies greeted the 110th London Girl Guides at the Cronyn Observatory for Exploring the Stars on Tuesday, January 8th, 2013, 7:00 p.m. Graduate student Allison Hill involved some early arrivals with a drawing the solar system with crayons activity.
Graduate student Tyler Desjardins made his digital slide presentation, “Cosmic Train Wrecks: When Galaxies Collide,” twice before a total of 35 visitors at the Cronyn Observatory Open House, Saturday, December 8th, beginning 7:00 p.m. RASC London Centre members Rick Saunders, Peter Jedicke and Dave McCarter assisted in the dome.
Graduate student Tyler Desjardins made his digital slide presentation, "The Scout / Guide Astronomy Badge," before 21 visitors (14 children and 7 adults) from the 11th London Cub Pack, at the Cronyn Observatory for Exploring the Stars, Thursday, December 6th, 7:00 p.m. This was followed by questions from the Cubs and their Leaders.
