Cloudy skies greeted RASC London Centre Public Outreach Coordinator and Past President Dave McCarter for the slide presentation and star night at Fanshawe Conservation Area, Saturday, July 12th, 2014, 9:10—10:30 p.m. Since the sky was cloudy Dave did not set up his telescope but made his digital slide presentation “Space: It’s Closer Than You Think” on a screen near the boat launch area before an audience of 45 people. The campers greatly enjoyed Dave’s presentation despite the fact that cloudy skies ruled out observing.
