Our Monthly Meeting

Starting September 2023 the meetings have a new start time of 19:30 (7:30pm). The doors will be open at 19:00 (7:00pm).

Our meetings are held each month, September through July (no meeting in August), on the third Friday of the month at 19:30 (7:30pm) at the Cronyn Observatory on Western University campus. There is no cost to come to the meetings they are open to the public and everyone is welcome.

There is free parking beside the Cronyn Observatory in lot “M”.  Lots E, M & I are free to park after 7:00 pm on Fridays.

Anyone interested in astronomy is invited to attend and enjoy our guest speaker, member activity and observing reports, announcements of new discoveries and upcoming events, telescopes and telescope accessories show and tell, and other fun activities. Have a look at our future and past activities on our RASC Events to see what we are about to do and have done. Plan to take part in the fun!

After the meeting we go to a local eatery to enjoy great conversation with our guest and good food.

Members of London Centre, and sometimes future members too, often get together for the Observers Group Meeting on either the Saturday or the Sunday evening following the monthly meeting. We gather at a member’s home for a social chat, to discuss astronomy, telescopes, or whatever strikes our fancy. If the skies co-operate a scope will probably be set up and some observing is done. But mostly at the Observers Group Meeting the R.A.S.C. stands for Relax And Snack Club! You will find out where this month’s OGM will be held at the monthly meeting, or on our forums a day or two before the meeting.
