Dave McCarter attended combined grade-6 classes, totalling 42 people (40 students and 2 teachers), at Ryerson Public School on Monday, April 8th, 2013, 2:10—3:30 p.m., and presented his new, recently finished slide show, “The Telescope: Instrument of Discovery.” There were many relevant and excellent questions from the students during and after the talk. The students were to be at the Cronyn Observatory for an evening of Exploring the Stars, Tuesday, April 16th. Despite a dismal weather forecast, Dave hoped for some clear sky.
