Bill Gardner reported spending the weekend at Killarney Provincial Park and opening the Observatory, Saturday evening, May 19th. He had a small group of 7 camp visitors join him for a small night time sky tour. He showed the group the planets Venus, Mars and Saturn, along with the deep-sky classics M13 and M57. One of the visitors said that M13 was the highlight of the entire weekend.
The Observatory is in a SkyShed POD dome and the telescope is a 10-inch (25.4cm) Meade LX-3 Schmidt-Cassegrain on a Losmandy G11 mount with Gemini GoTo unit.
