June 19, 2026 – Monthly Meeting – Parshati Patel – Artemis II: Around the Moon and Beyond

Our Guest of Honour this month is our very own Parshati Patel, Ph.D., astrophysicist, science communicator and consultant. Parshati will be giving a presentation on the new age of lunar exploration.

Artemis II: Around the Moon and Beyond

The Artemis era is underway! Come relive the excitement of Artemis II, humanity’s first crewed voyage beyond low Earth orbit since Apollo. From memorable moments aboard the mission to the contributions of London-born Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen and Canada’s role in helping return humans to the Moon, we’ll explore what made this mission so significant. We’ll also look ahead to what’s next for Artemis and how these missions are paving the way for a long-term human presence on the Moon (and eventually Mars).

We’ll also have our now regular installments from Tyrone (Constellation of the Month), Bill (It’s in the Handbook), and Dale (What’s up!).
