Robert Jedicke

Our Guest of Honor will be Dr. Robert Jedicke of the University of Hawaii's Institute for Astronomy. Robert is a Life Member of the RASC and a graduate of Western University as well as a former starter at Left Tackle for the Western Mustangs.

Robert's topic will be "Earth's Mini-Moons"

Think Earth has just one Moon? Actually, Earth is surrounded by a cloud of temporarily captured natural satellites that we call minimoons. Each one typically remains in the Earth-Moon system for about nine months and the largest in orbit at any time is about two meters in diameter. They may be small but they are close, and are natural stepping stones on our path to planetary exploration and asteroid mining.
